If you’re like me, you started your health journey because you wanted to lose weight. You want to look good, feel good and have confidence. And you know without a doubt that losing weight would do it.
You are creating an image of your future self that is going to change the way you approach your life, the places you’ll go, the things you’ll do. I believe you. I believe your dream is bigger than merely weight loss. But here’s the thing. It doesn’t really matter what I think. And it doesn’t really matter what anyone else thinks. It’s your journey. What works for one may not work for another. Look at everyone you follow online right now or have followed in the past. And ask yourself why you bought it, tried it or listened to them. Was it because what they said to you sparked that dream? Or was it they made it seem easy? Did it sound too good to be true? Was it actually too good to be true? Healthy living isn’t hard, but most people simply don’t know how to do it. You see, that’s where having a community comes in. You want to have a community of people that are on the same path, that love what you are doing for yourself. They know you, your drivers, your mission. And most importantly that support and care about you. There is nothing more powerful than a group of close-knit people that bond over similar beliefs, missions, and goals. Would it make a difference in your life, in your journey?
And most important you need a community that believes and supports you so much they will give you transparency. You want a group of people that have faith in you, but also will tell you what you need to hear and say it kindly. It’s not about competition or comparison. It’s about ideas, support, and strategies.
